Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to USS New Jersey (BB-62), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. —Ed 17 for President Vote for Ed 14:44, 15 October 2008 (UTC) [reply]

The tour guide told me that. He had served on the ship for years. I also checked Wikipedia's own articles to see that the length was in fact longer than the others. Sole Flounder (talk) 14:53, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiversity and WikiEducator

Hi! I just created an account (with the same name) on Wikademia. I think Wikademia looks like a very interesting project. Do you know about Wikiversity and WikiEducator? These are sites with the same purpose as Wikademia, but much more work has been done on them. Both of those sites need people to develop courses and other resources. --AFriedman (talk) 18:24, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the information. I had heard of Wikiversity but not WikiEducator. They seem like interesting sites. Sole Flounder (talk) 04:37, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. --AFriedman (talk) 19:21, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your request for one of my old images

Hi, and thanks for your message on my talk page. If you still want a copy of my old WW2-montage, please send me an email via my Wikipedia user page User:Dna-webmaster. I will then send you the image (do you want a .png/.jpg or both?) via email. Regards, --Dna-Dennis (talk) 22:58, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks again. I just emailed you. Sole Flounder (talk) 03:52, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WWII collage removed

Hi, I notice you had an opinion on the WWII collage. Having material that cannot be copyright-verified (see WWII or template discussion, I removed it. I'm now in the process of looking for the earlier version you mentioned, however you might be best to handle this. Piano non troppo (talk) 19:23, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've tried. I have a copy of the good one here. dna-webmaster put it together. Sole Flounder (talk) 22:13, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD notices

Heyya Emperor. Not going to template ya, but it's best not to mess with those tags while an AfD is in progress - Alison 05:00, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just curious, but why bother with AfD? This seems like something that can be resolved without using administrator tools. Sole Flounder (talk) 05:03, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's not right to just rollover an article like that & excise the previous subject. You have to create disambig pages, move one (plus its edit history) to something like Clover Honey (performer) or whatev. It's a bit of work - Alison 05:07, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok I see your point about moving it to preserve the history, but then why not just do it? Sole Flounder (talk) 05:16, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Because I don't think the BLP has even remotely enough notability to stick around here. It needs to go thru the mill to see if the community agrees or not - Alison 05:18, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok have fun nice seeing you! Sole Flounder (talk) 05:23, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

encyc.org

Hi there, is there any reason why you are interwiki-linking to encyc.org so aggressively?
