Rick Grimes is a fictional character in a comic book and television series called, The Walking Dead. The first episode, Days Gone Bye, depicted Rick as a deputy sheriff in rural Georgia, USA, when they set off to stop a reckless driver. When the driver crashes due to a tire spike strip set out by the deputies, the driver and passenger leave the car, driver with a pistol, passenger with a shotgun, and after the deputies and police shoot down the driver, Rick turns as the passenger shoots him. After half-conscious visits from family and friends, one day he wakes up to find the hospital run down with dead people all over the place. This previous snippet was the introduction of the first episode. Throughout the episodes Rick sets out on a quest to find his wife, Lori Grimes, and son, Carl Grimes.
