Split

I've split this article into six articles. It was getting way too long. Superior1 00:11, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Serious Clean up

I've tagged this page for merging, as the first step to giving the Dragon Ball episode lists some serious clean up. There is no valid reason for splitting out the Japanese and dubbed versions of the series, and such a split is highly inappropriate. The episode list needs to be completely reformatted, with the original/dubs together for each subseries. See other featured episode lists for the proper format this list needs to be brought up to, such as List of Naruto episodes. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 23:31, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Compare the episode 56 description: "Blue meets someone who resembles his little brother and attacks Toro and his partners" with this no less verified (and no more originally researched) description from the original: "Blue refers to the young-boy like creature who fixes the car as "his type" and falls in love." Blue even has the pink bubble background. In one version the main villain is a gay pedophile and in the other he is hmmm... completely not. The post original air date versions are rife with these kind of edits, hence the poor reception. The DB Wiki-history has many well verified versions that dealt more accurately with this subject but they seem to get washed away. At least make sure no major plot devices introduced after the original air date are passed off as from the original I think this last can be accomplished easily enough and with a relatively light hand. Fixing Pu-erh's name would also be good...

Dragon Ball Kai

The series is out now, and we have it re-edited with new Episode titles. Should it be included here? DemonRin (talk) 10:58, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Only one episode has aired right now...not sure an episode list needs to be started yet. But if so, yeah, would go here until there are actually enough aired to warrant splitting it. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 16:18, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, if we're talking about Episode titles, two episodes are out right now. (The one episode that aired and the next episode's title as revealed in the Preview), so maybe starting next week we can start the list because that will make Three? actually, we have 4 if you count the VJump article that was printed a few weeks ago. DemonRin (talk) 14:29, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Is there a reliable source that lists the airdates/titles? -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 14:51, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's an article from the Japanese Magazine VJump, so I dont think you'd deem it reliable.DemonRin (talk) 00:45, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Why not? Its a real magazine, right? -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 01:34, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Of course it is, it's one of the sister magazines to Weekly JUMP, Here's a scan from it http://www.daizex.com/general/tidbits/images/kai/jump_scan_05.jpg. DemonRin (talk) 01:45, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That gives a 403 error. As long as you have the page number (and article title/author if its an article; or feature name if its a general listing of shows), nothing wrong with that. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 01:52, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, here it is http://www.worlddbz.net76.net/Image/kai02.png - Bottom right hand Corner. It lists the first 4 episodes and their air dates. It's a General "Focus on new Anime" section that's focussed on Dragon Ball Kai this time. Could I add these now?DemonRin (talk) 03:01, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please provide the page number, volume/issue number, and date from the magazine so it can be cited. And author if there is one. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 14:32, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It was The April 2009 Issue of V-Jump, Page 329 and the Author of the blurb's name was "Kondo" Henshuu Chou. It appears to be in part a Pen name for him though. DemonRin (talk) 06:49, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Great, thanks. And just to confirm...the summary for ep 1 is your own, right, and not translated from the magazine? -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 13:34, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I typed up the Summary, is that ok?98.165.116.30 (talk) 06:57, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, long as its your own words, and not from somewhere else, its cool. I cleaned up the spelling and grammar a little though :) -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 15:54, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This Page Needs to Be Deleted or Merged With the Individual Articles

Wow! I can't imagine that a page could be so long! Anyway, I'm new to editing on Wikipedia, but I do know that this page is way too long. I should note that even though each anime series is based on the original manga, but they are still different shows. This page needs to be deleted because there is already a page on all four of the series. Besides, Kai is pretty much in its own universe since it's not a part of the original broadcast. Hope my feedback helps a bunch! D4c3nt3n0 (talk) 22:10, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, this was being discussed elsewhere and this list is being deleted to move the original here and just let the four episode lists stand alone due to the issues with the double transclusion and unnecessary nature of having a single all emcompassing list. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 00:17, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Episode Descriptions

The last edit summary didn't make much sense, where can the episode descriptions be found now? --Darktower 12345 20:32, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

List of Dragon Ball episodes (series) was moved here, and that broke the template. I've fixed it now and all summaries should be viewable. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 21:01, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry. Didn't really know what the end result should look like. Protonk (talk) 21:05, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No worries :) I totally forgot about it myself and I helped make the template LOL -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 21:57, 8 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay great, thanks. --Darktower 12345 01:15, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It should be noted that between episode 79 and 80, Son Goku magically regrows his tail, and no mention is made of it in either the English dub, or this article. Its as if it never even broke off 5 episodes previously. --User:matrix3509 --24.167.23.88 (talk) 05:29, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Japanese vs English versions

It seems that these plot summaries are not based on the original Japanese versions. Many minor details developed solely for the for the dub version are mentioned in the episode summaries. Likewise many significant details from the original version are excluded. This should be corrected. To that end I hope a reliable, third-party, published source can be found. It seems odd one hasn't. Orphaned references in List of Dragon Ball episodes

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of Dragon Ball episodes's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 22:58, 26 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
