The photograph was taken between 1956 and 1958. Because it was published before January 1, 1960, it's in the public domain. It's also applicable for the Wikimedia Commons because it entered public domain in the United States prior to 1996. The licencing for this image, for example, gives a good summary of NZ copyright law. Under clause A: "For photographs, manuscripts, archives, music scores, maps, paintings, and drawings published anonymously, under a pseudonym or the creator is unknown" copyright expires if the "photo taken or work published prior to January 1, 1960". 72.74.210.99 (talk) 13:21, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
Hrstich spent two years as a pro in New Zealand before he left the country in 1958 to compete in the United States. The photo was taken while he was competing as "Dick Hrstich", a name he only used in NZ, with his North American ringname "Ray Gordon" in brackets. - Looking for Matthew Skenandore, I have found a draft at User:Curlyharpy1/Mattthew Skenandore and User:Curlyharpy1/Matthew Skenandore. The image you request is licensed to a qualitytimelord rather than Mattthew Skenandore on flickr. Although it is possible that they are the same person it is suspicious that the image is low resolution and that only one has been uploaded by qualitytimelord so recently, meaning we cannot establish the credibility of uploads from this source. - Is there a bigger copy of this? This is nearly too small to read. I assume you want it on Victory Christian School, but there is a seal already uploaded by you at commons. However this needs to be proven to be public domain still if you want it on commons. We can use it under fair use on en.Wikipedia though. Stephen Tobolowsky image
Description: This is an image of Stephen Tobolowsky. There isn't any pictures of him on his Wikipedia page at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Tobolowsky and I thought it would be appropriate to have on there since he is a famous actor that has worked in over 200 projects in film and television. The image is from his IMDB page. Which is here: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3359149568/nm0864997 At the bottom of the page it says "Photo by Lucasfilm – © 1994" But I have seen this exact image on hundreds of websites so I assume it is fair use? I don't know a lot about copyright laws, that's the main reason I am submitting a request.

- In this case the best thing would be for you to take the picture yourself. You can upload to flickr with a cc-by-sa license or email an image to me to upload. Otherwise there are more complications if others took the photo, and yet others own the copyright as far more facts need to be proved. - Follow the procedure at WP:IOWN, t is much simpler if you take the picture your self. If you get the copyright owner to register here and upload an image that has not been published before, then that is a fairly simple way to go too. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 02:26, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
