Xoom.com is the website of Xoom Corporation, a San Francisco-based global money transfer company.

The company was founded in 2001 and is backed by the venture firms [Sequoia Capital], [New Enterprise Associates] and [Fidelity Ventures].

On March 25, 2010, Xoom closed a E-series round of financing for $33 million. [1]

The Xoom.com web-based money transfer service enables users to send money using a US bank account or credit card to Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Ireland, Jamaica, Mexico, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Uruguay.
