Gamoon Wala is a vilage located in District Muzaffargarh,Punjab,Pakistan. It is 20 Kms away from Muzaffargarh city at D.G.Khan road near Chok Godar.

Dominent Tribe and Chief

Dominant tribe is Suhrani a ,sub tribe of Baloch tribe. This village was established about 250 years ago when Ghulam Hussain Suhrani came here. The most popular chief has been Dr.Faiz Bakhsh Khan Suhrani who died in road side accident in 1998. Now a days, its Chief is Sardar Saif Ullah Khan Suhrani,Ex-En Wapda.

Population

Its population is 1000 people with 49 % males and 51 % females.

Economy

Its economy is based on Agriculture. Following crops are grown:

  • Wheat
  • Cotton
  • Rice
  • Sugarcane
  • Mango
  • Date palm
  • Sorghum
  • Barseem.
Education

Literacy rate is 95% which is higher than any surrounding area. Now people are inclined towards Government services. Following are the prominent officers here:

Infra Structure

It is linked with fully furnished road. It has bricked streets. Drainage system is up to date. It has one Girls primary School. TCF schools which are very advanced and up to date are also near to it and most of the students go there. General Stores are also established fulfilling the demands of people.
