Vavathurai(Tamil:வாவத்துறை ) is a vilage in KanyaKumari in the state of Tamilnadu in India. Located at the southernmost tip of the Indian Peninsula, it is the geographical end of the Indian mainland. which is near to Vivekananda Rock. The closest major cities are Nagercoil, the administrative headquarters of Kanyakumari District, (18 km). The place adds beauty to kanyakumari.This is the one of the important place to see in kanyakumari. The Church is built in the sea shore.
