Thin Lizzy Live at Sydney Harbour '78
Thin Lizzy Live at Sydney Harbour '78 is a live concert performance by Thin Lizzy on October 29, 1978 and subsequently produced in VHS and DVD format and available from Warner Vision.[1]. It was originally a made for television special produced by local radio station 2SM and Australia's, Seven Network. The band performed for an estimated crowd of 100,000 on the steps of the famous Sydney Opera House.[2]. Audio is English Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo. Thin Lizzy's original drummer, Brian Downey, was unable to perform due to the band's hectic tour schedule, in which he became tired and ill and wasn't in good health to perform.
Thin Lizzy did a morning sound check which extended to a jam of around 25 minutes for those who had arrived extra early for the concert. Although not appearing in the video release, the opening acts for the concert were The Sports, Jon English and Wha-Koo.[3]
