I am uncomfortable with the reference to 12% of households with a female head, but no "husband" present. I think this should be changed to partner or the reference to husbands not being present should deleted all together. These are the statistics provided by the census bureau. If you want them to gather other statistics please lobby them, not us. I agree that their statics are not always the best (for instance single male households with children isn't listed) -Ravedave (talk) 17:32, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
