Kathavasheshan (English: The Deceased) is a 2004 Malayalam film directed by T. V. Chandran.[1]

Plot

Gopinatha Menon (Dileep) is a smart young man staying alone in a flat in the city. One day he was found dead and his suicide note said that he is doing so because of the shame of being alive. His fiancée Renuka (Jyothirmayi) wants to know the cause of his death and does a bit of investigation on herself. She comes across his various friends but all of them has only good things to tell about him. She later learns that Gopinathan suicided because of her empathy towards a rape victim as he could not stand the thought he is also part of the shameless society which did the cruelty on her.
