Wild Kratts is an children’s animated television series for children aged 6–11, produced by 9 Story for PBS Kids and TVO. The show premiered on January 3, 2011 on most PBS member stations.
Plot
The Kratt brothers go around the world looking for animals and use "creature power suits", suits created by their friend, Aviva, out of the creatures' DNA. There are three villains in the show, Zach Varmitech, who controls the creatures' minds and use them as slaves, Donita Donata, who freezes creatures and sell them alive as jewelry, and Gourmond, who makes expensive gourmet dishes out of endangered species. The Kratts usually use their creature powers to foil these three villains' plots.
Characters
- Kratt Brothers: The main characters of the series. They like to play jokes on each other.
- Chris Kratt: Chris wears a green shirt, and his creature power suit animals include a monarch butterfly, beaver, walrus, and a crocodile.
- Martin Kratt: Martin Kratt wears a blue shirt, and seems to be more of the joker of the two. His creature power suit animals include a polar bear, monarch butterfly and caterpillar and a crocodile. Martin usually likes to give animals they find various names.
- Aviva (Athena Karkanis): Aviva is the leader of the Tortuga HQ gang. She designs the discs for Chris or Martin's creature power suits. Aviva tries to prove the Kratts that she knows all about creatures, but she is later corrected by the Kratts. For example, in the pilot episode "Mom of a Croc", Aviva thought that crocodiles were just big ferocious reptiles, but later she found out that crocodiles are really protective of their young.
- Koki (Heather Bambrick): Another woman who lives in the Tortuga HQ. She usually contacts with the brothers and works on the evidence of the creatures.
- Jimmy Z (Jonathan Malen): Jimmy Z is the "tech guy" of the Tortuga HQ gang. He usually is the one who teleported the discs for Chris and Martin's creature power suits. Jimmy loves food and video games and is usually seen eating a slice of pizza.

Villains
- Zach Varmitech (Zachary Bennett): A man who claims to be the world's greatest mind and the show's primary antagonist. He tries to make hotels and vacation spots all over the world by controlling creatures' minds and using them as slaves, but his plans are always foiled by the Kratt Brothers. Zach usually has two robot slaves that obey him but are not too bright. He once went to science camp with Aviva. It is also revealed that Zach has been archenemies with the Kratts since they were just children.
- Donita Donata (Eva Almos): A snobby woman and the show's secondary antagonist. She freezes animals alive and sell them alive as jewelery or clothing. Her franchising company is known as "Donita Donata's Live Jewelry of Nature". She also works with a man named Dabio (Cory Doran) who obeys her but usually fails.
- Gourmond (Zachary Bennett): He is a bad chef and the tertiary antagonist of the show. He uses endangered creatures as ingredients for his gourmet dishes. For instance, in "Platypus Cafe" he tried frying Platypus eggs for his gourmet dish. Also tried to cook a honey badger with honey sauce.
