Simone Bailly is a Canadian actress best known for her television roles in Battlestar Galactica, The L Word, Smallville, Stargate SG-1, Da Vinci's Inquest (originally: Da Vinci's City Hall) and the EA video game Need for Speed: Most Wanted. She has also appeared in numerous feature films, made for TV movies, and commercials.

Television

Simone is most often recognized from her recurring role on Showtime's The L Word. She appeared as Grace, the intern for OurChart who develops a love relationship with the transgendered character Max Sweeney (Moira) played by actress Daniela Sea in the fourth and fifth seasons.

Opposite James Callis (Baltar) and Tricia Helfer (Six), Simone played Shona in the Battlestar Galactica series finale (Daybreak: Part 1 & 2), directed by Michael Rymer. Daybreak: Part 2 was nominated for 5 Emmys and took home 1 win.

On Smallville, Simone guest-starred as Star, the potion peddler to Lois Lane (Erica Durance) and Jimmy Olsen (Aaron Ashmore) in the Valentine's Day episode, Crimson (season six).

Simone played the recurring role of Ka'lel on three seasons of Stargate SG-1, sharing scenes with not only MacGyver himself, Richard Dean Anderson but also the talents of Lou Gosset Jr. (Iron Eagle, Enemy Mine) and Ben Browder (Farscape). It was also on Stargate that she met actor/director Peter DeLuise (21 Jump Street) who later starred with Simone in the comedic film noir short, The Bar, which debuted on the film festival circuit and is now on funnyordie.com.

Many gamers also recognize Simone as the sexy cop in the EA video game Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which was awarded Best Racing Game of the Year by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, USA (2006).

As Constable Jan Ferris on Da Vinci's Inquest (originally entitled Da Vinci's City Hall), Simone played the leader of a gang of renegade cops. In preparation for the role, Simone rode with actual police officers to some of the toughest areas in the city, witnessing first-hand the many dangers and realities of being a cop. She also had additional tactical training and learned how to handle firearms and other devices that go with the job. On Da Vinci's, her performance so won over the writers that a one episode part evolved into a multiple-episode arc and finally a regular role for the entire series.

Other roles include:

Bong of the Dead as Leah Kroaker (2011) Good Luck Chuck as Matthew/Megan (opposite Dane Cook) Swimming Lessons as the Mermaid (opposite Jodelle Ferland from Twilight: Eclipse, Silent Hill) 14 Hours as Phoebe (starring Kris Kristofferson, Rick Schroder and JoBeth Williams) The Delicate Art of Parking as Denise I Spy as Vegas Showgirl (Eddie Murphy) Living with the Dead as Amy Condrin (opposite Mary Steenburgen and Ted Danson) The Outer Limits playing the Administrator

Simone is a trained actress who began her career in theater and has since focussed on TV and film. She has a broad range: from Shakespeare to gun-wielding action, flamenco to pole dancing, Simone's chameleon-like talents make her appealing in all genres of comedy, drama, and action.
