The Journal for the Education of the Gifted (abbreviated JEG) is an American peer-reviewed academic journal that offers information and research on the educational and psychological needs of gifted and talented children. It is one of the oldest peer reviewed journals in the field of gifted education. In particular, JEG publishes articles about the characteristics of gifted children (including those with intellectual giftedness), evaluations of effective schools for gifted children, gifted children with a learning disability, the history of gifted education, and building successful gifted and talented programs. Tracy L. Cross at the College of William and Mary serves as the editor. JEG is published by Prufrock Press.
