Prill is a dry pellet form of a solid. Prills are formed by allowing drops of the prill substance to congeal in mid-air by being dripped from the top of a tall Prilling Tower. Fertilizers (ammonium nitrate, urea, NPK) and some detergent powders are commonly manufactured as prills.
