Aspects of the Philippine culture

Pls inform me why nothing is mentioned about the Delikadesa, Mano, the respect forms of the use of Ate, Kuyo, Dong and other forms.

I am told that in the Philippines most (female) people live according to the saying "to know too much can be dangerous" while in almost all other countries all people advocate "knowledge is power". Why the difference in thinking and attitude in the Philippines? Can someone elaborate on this huge difference in cultural human behavior?
