Personal life

Jake Canuso (Carmine Canuso) was born in Switzerland to Italian descendants. He moved from a village near Zurich to London in his late teens to train as a professional dancer, before moving into the acting field. Jake has worked with Elton John, Annie Lennox, featured in Take That's "Sure" video and was a backing dancer for the SpiceGirls SpiceWorld 1998 tour, where he met and befriended Louie Spence. He is best known for his role in the itv series of "Benidorm_(TV_series)" as the lovable barman Mateo. Due to travelling to many different countries from such a young age, Jake is able to speak 6 languages fluently including English, Spanish and Italian.
