Territory of Ibero-Maurusian and Capsian cultures

Ibero-Maurusian, or Oranian,[1] or Ouchtatian[2] archaeological industry spread in Northern Africa in the Epipaleolithic period. The culture is supposed to have emerged either as a result of the migration of Cro-Magnon people from the Iberian peninsula, hence the name, or from the local Aterian culture. The lasted dating evidence indicates that the Iberomaurusian existed between 18/17 ka bp and 11/10 ka bp [3]. The Ibero-Maurusian people belonged to the Mechtoid anthropological type.[4]
