zero ionic layer

In the paragraph explaining the zero ionic layer the article says "...interact with the carboxyl groups of each of the three glutamine (Q) residues." Glutamine has an amide side chain functional group. But the arginine could interact with the carbonyl oxygen from the amide side chains.
