Sai Kumar (born 27 July 1960) is an Indian film actor and dubbing expert who has made his name in the Kannada, Telugu and Tamil film industries. Born and raised in Baagepalli Kshetra, near Chikkaballapur district, Karnataka, and currently living in Bangalore. He belongs to a middle class family and started his career at an early age of his life as a dubbing child artist. His father, P J Sharma is a leading dubbing artist. Sai Kumar followed in his father's footsteps, having dubbed for Suman and Dr. Rajasekhar for many of their films. His brother Ravi Shankar is also a dubbing artiste and villain in Tollywood.[1] Sai Kumar has exceptional dialogue delivery and Telugu diction clarity in his voice.

My aim and ambition since my childhood is to become a versatile actor. As a child artiste I had the privilege of acting with well-known stars of that time. Director Bapu gave me an important lead role in Sneham the re-make of Hindi silver jubilee film Dosti. I continued with my film assignments, dubbing and my studies. I passed out with flying colors from Madras Christian College. I also did my M.Phil from the MCC.[2]

He is popular in Kannada and Telugu films for his often typecast roles as a police officer and politician.[3] This South Indian actor is currently a campaigner for the Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka.[4]

Sai Kumar says he likes dialogues with sentiment and emotion:

I like melodrama. For me a film character is larger than life. A bit of exaggeration. I like the dialogue delivery of stars like Sivaji Ganeshan and N. T. Rama Rao.[2]

In addition to his film commitments, he is currently the host of the game show Deal or No Deal on both Udaya TV (in Kannada) and Gemini TV (in Telugu). He also hosts a game show called WOW-Manchi Kick Ichche Game Show. Recently he is the host of reality show "Gatha Janma Rahasyam" based on past life regression.
