Confirmed (add request)

User:Marianoponsmtz

Reason for requesting This term at my school we have to do a history project on Ancient Rome. My project is on Roman Games, toys and activities. Part of this project is to fix and improve wikipedia pages and i would like to improve your page by adding some of my intellect to it to improve its accuricy. Please allow me to improve your page on toys, games and activities. Marianoponsmtz (talk)
I'm ambivalent about this, because of your language issues — how can you expect to improve accuracy if you cannot spell 'accuracy'? I don't want to obstruct an educational assignment though, so can you give me an example of what you want to change? You can either make the edit yourself on a non-protected page, or make an {{Edit protected}} {{Edit semi-protected}} request on the talk page of a protected page. * {{edit semi-protected}} for changes to semi-protected articles. GFOLEY FOUR— 02:12, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Editor note A bit "Bity" for a student don't you think Feezo ? Mlpearc powwow 21:44, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ten days is more than enough time to wait for a response. Or do you mean that confirmed should be granted to anyone claiming student status? I am happy to grant confirmed status on request — but I generally find that the quality of the request is a good predictor of the quality of future edits — suggesting, in this case, that those edits would likely be reverted. This project has already resulted in nonconstructive editing on Ancient Rome, which suggests to me that it is either informal or improperly organized. If you are in fact interested in student issues on Wikipedia, I encourage you to start a school and university projects page to record and coordinate this project. Students can then be listed there as they are confirmed, so that their edits can be reviewed. If you do this, I will grant confirmed to any editor who claims to be a member of the project. Upload correct images to Wikipedia, and try to keep them consistent and current . I am aware of the uploading rules and will not violate them.

Question: can you be more specific? I see this request is your only edit, so can you tell me what you plan to do? What do you mean by "correct" images? Feezo (send a signal | watch the sky) 01:45, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not done, per lack of response. GFOLEY FOUR— 14:48, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I want to upload images to the Rackspot article, specially the Logo. I did read the uploading rules and will not violate any of Wikipedia's rules.

Not done You are already autocomfirmed, so you can already upload images. If you want to upload a logo please WP:NFC (if you haven't already) and then go to Wikipedia:Upload. GFOLEY FOUR— 16:55, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Question: I assume this is related to your articles for creation submission? There were several problems with it, which can be explained in our live chat (described to in the review on the linked page.) There's also an alternative place to upload it discussed on your talk page. If it's not related, I see no reason not to grant confirmed status if you can verify that you've read Wikipedia:Image use policy. Edit my university page that has almost no information Masksheriff (talk) 09:26, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello sir/madam,

I am a very old wikipedian. Its about 3 years or even more, since i am learning really a lot many things about various topics from across the nooks and corners of the world. And i am also very thankful to WIKIPEDIA for the same. I, being very curios about learning things never minded of signing up with wiki as unsigned users also have same access to the content. Today, while a random view over my university's wiki page, i've just seen that its incomplete. just then, i signed up and started editing.... that's the story and as of now... I just want to upload image to my university wiki page viz., Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.

I have limited access and i wish to have a grated access about the same area. I also ensure you that this access provision will not be misused.

Thank you.

Question: Hello, can you just confirm that you've read Wikipedia:Image use policy? Feezo (send a signal | watch the sky) 06:21, 15 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Went to read the little mermaid article and the poor grammar in the plot section bothered me. I'd be willing to rewrite it for style without changing content if I can get confirmed.

Done. The Little Mermaid is not semi-protected, so you should be able to edit it without confirmed status. However, I see no reason not to grant this request. Feezo (send a signal | watch the sky) 19:38, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am a student in a Christan school and I have to add something about Rome to get marked on. If I don't add anything on Wikipedia I will fail this part and the page is locked. thanks so much. I didnt now if you confirmed me or not. thanks Yomanhi6 (talk) 18:05, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Already done. You have autoconfirmed, which grants the same privileges as confirmed. Feezo (send a signal | watch the sky) 21:37, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

New Wikipedia user here, interested in adding information to the page about Ilana Mercer. I am well acquainted with her writing, and have a healthy but critical respect for her and her work. HMSFearless (talk) 01:06, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am interested in translating english pages into chinese. I found that some of the pages are semi-protected. I have done more than 10 edits in four days, but my status was not automatically changed to "autoconfirmed". Would you please grant me the "confirmed" status permission? Thanks a lot.

Done. I've granted confirmed to your account here, but it sounds like you really need it on the Chinese Wikipedia. Administrators here can't help you, unless they are also admins on zh. I don't know what zh's policy is, so I suggest you ask there. Feezo (send a signal | watch the sky) 01:00, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am a student working on creating a page for Daphnia lumholtzi for an ecology class. I need to be able to upload pictures and the like, and cannot do so without being a confirmed user. Lyoon6 (talk) 02:36, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Looking to edit image and info for Stuart Nash page which has been semi-protected. Am his campaign manager and want to include his list ranking for the 2011 NZ elections. Chrisrichardsonnz (talk) 02:52, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Sounds reasonable. As long as you're aware of the conflict of interest guidelines (which I'm sure you are) I see no problem with this. Feezo (send a signal | watch the sky) 05:32, 21 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
