Araminta is a feminine given name, of unknown origin, whose first recorded use is in William Congreve's comedy The Old Bachelor (1693).[1] Araminta was also Harriet Tubman<href>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harriet_Tubman</href>'s given name.
