Cursive is an indie rock band on Saddle Creek records.

The band was formed in 1995 by Tim Kasher, Matt Maginn, and Steve Pedersen, along with drummer Clint Schnase. Steve was later replaced by Ted Stevens, formerly of Lullaby for the Working Class. Cursive's sound continued to evolve, most dramtically with the addition of Gretta Cohn on cello.

Their newest album, The Ugly Organ, was released on Saddle Creek in 2003.
