The Trembesina Mountain is a tall, steep mountain in Albania.[1] It is close to border with the Albanian city of Tepeleni. In 1939, when the Italians invaded Albania, they took the mountain and used it as a house for an artillery fortification. In 1940, when the Italians invaded Greece, a Greek company under captain Praxiteles Kondylis attacked the mountain to destroy the Italian forces and starrted the Battle of the Trembesina Mountain. They eventually defeated the Italians on it in March, 1940 after heavy fighting, losing their commander and several of their soldiers.
