Il Volo

Il Volo is a trio of Italian pop-opera singers.

Teenage pop-opera singing sensations Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble got their start 2009 when they met on an the Italian music competition show Ti Lascio Una Canzone.

Their US self titled album was released on May 17, 2011 just prior to their appearance on American Idol's final 3 show during which Haley Reinhart of Wheeling, Illinois was eliminated. Contestants moving on the the finals of the competition were Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina. Il Volo sung 'O Sole Mio which was released as a single in the US earlier in 2011.
