David Townsend' (born January 17, 1990) is an American professional basketball player. A 6'5" (1.92 m) point guard from Purdue Calumet, Townsend was not drafted by an NBA team but did manage to play for the Skk Kotwica Kołobrzeg
Early life and college
Born in Hammond, Indiana, Townsend graduated from [[Lake Central High School (St John, Indiana)at in 2008. He played college basketball for Purdue Calumet in Hammond, Indiana,where he only appeared in 5 games due to a elbow injury.
Professional career
Townsend tried out for the Chicago Steam ABA and made the team becoming a key contributor in they late season success. Then went to the Northwest Indiana Magical Stars. Upon playing with the magical stars Townsend took a offer to play in Poland with Skk Kotwica kołobrzeg.
In his pro career, Townsend played in 16 games (all with Skk Kotwica Kołobrzeg) and had averages of 16.1 points, 5.4assists and 5.3 rebounds per game while playing 36.2 minutes per game on average.
