Origin (formerly EA Store) is a digital distribution[1], digital rights management system from Electronic Arts that allows users to purchase computer games on the Internet and download them directly to their PC with the Origin software.[2]
Origin Mobile
EA also plans to launch the Origin platform for mobile devices (such as iOS devices) and achievements can be synced across both platforms. Scrabble Network will be incorporated into Origin mobile. These services will be free of charge.[3]

Origin client
The Origin client is used to download titles purchased from Origin. It closely resembles the EA Download Manager, Origins' predecessor. Users can visit the Origin website to purchase games from within Origins' interface.
