Gerard Beale (born 18 July 1990) is a professional rugby league footballer currently playing for Brisbane Broncos in the Telstra Premiership. He is a utility back by preference; in that he can play at full-back, wing or centre.

Playing career

Beale signed professionally for the Brisbane Broncos from Logan Brothers.[1][2] Beale made his first grade debut in a 22-20 loss to Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles in the 2009 NRL season, where he came in to the side at full-back as a last minute replacement for Karmichael Hunt.[3] He had previously been playing for the Broncos' Toyota Cup side.[1]

Representative career

Beale played for the Junior Kangaroos in 2010.[4]

He is a relative of All Black great Zinzan Brooke and was named in New Zealand 19-man squad for the 2011 ANZAC Test.[5] Beale however did not play in the match.
