Killian Donnelly
Basic Information
Killian Donnelly (born June 25, 1984) is an Irish born musical theatre performer. He is from Navan in Meath, Ireland. Where he was a member of the St Mary's Musical Society. Most recognized for his role as Enjolras in the 2010/2011 Les Miserables Cast at the Queen's Theatre London along side Samantha Barks and Gareth Gates. He has one sister and one brother who still live in Ireland, while Killian takes up residence in London. Killian is a tenor and plays piano and guitar.
Career
Killian has appeared in many different roles around Ireland and has also directed and written shows. His first theatre role was in 2005 where he featured in the chorus of The Wireman at the Gaiety Theatre. He then continued to play Rod in Singin' In The Rain (Olympia Theatre), Tony in West Side Story(Solstice Theatre), Ethan in The Full Monty (Olympia Theatre), Aladdin in Aladdin (Cork Opera House), Prince Charming in Cinderella (Gaiety Theatre), Chorus in Sweeney Todd (Gate Theatre) and Collins in Michael Collins- A Musical Drama (Cork Opera House).
His most famous role to date playing Enjolras in Les Miserables 2010/2011 cast he finalized his role on June 18th 2011. He was a member of the Les Miserables Queen's Theatre cast for two years prior, where he was the understudy of the role Javert and Jean Valjean in which he played both.
Killian's next role will start in September where he will be playing Raoul in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of The Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre.
Killian has also featured in commercials for McDonald's and Jameson Whiskey.
Television includes The Tudors, The Open House, The Late Late Show and Showbands.
He perfomed in You Should Be Dancing (National Concert Hall) and Les Miserables (Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Isle of Wight) concerts.
On 3rd October 2010, Killian played the role of Courfeyrac in the 25th Anniversary Concert of Les Miserbales at The 02 Arena in London.
