The definition given by the article is completely false. The 'rambla' is a general urbanist term for this type of special square which can be found all over Catalonia. The Las Ramblas is just the main-central rambla in Barcelona and not the sole representative of the word 'rambla'. The current state of the article would be the equivalent of renaming the article Trafalgar square to Square, London. So to correct this, the article should be renamed first to Rambla, Catalonia and then it should get rewritten from Scratch by a local/Spanish person or at least someone who knows what they're talking about. Because frankly right now it looks as if the article was written by a bunch of passing tourists who did not pay good attention to their tourist guide. Miskin (talk) 13:31, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Incorrect Title
La Rambla is an incorrect title as it is not in fact one single Rambla, actually it is called Las Ramblas as it is made up of five ramblas rather than just one as the title suggests. This official tourism article of Barcelona titles it as "Las Ramblas" http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/ramblas/barcelona-las-ramblas.html Also when I went to Barcelona my tour guide specifically told us that is not La Rambla as several towns and cities in Spain have La Rambla but Barcelona is individual as it has 5 consecutive Ramblas. As I do not have an account on Wikipedia nor do I have anyone elses opinions but I strongly advise people, who have the authority to do so, to change the title. 82.5.224.82 (talk) 18:58, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
