Vladimir Muhankin (Russian:Владимир Анатольевич Муханкин (born 22 April 1960) — Russian serial killer, who called himself "the pupil of Chikatilo". In 1995 he killed 8 women in a two month period. Two of them were killed in the last day before his arrest.

Life

His childhood was cruel and harsh. There is an opinion he had been sexually abused in special school. Muhankin was committing thefts and robberies, torturing animals as boy and arrested for child molestation.

In 1995 he committed 8 horrible murders ripping and cutting the bodies of victims, mostly in the town of Shahty (Rostov Oblast of Russia). Victims - women and girls - were stabbed or suffocated, some of them tortured before death.

Punishment

In court Muhankin did not regret about his crimes. He said that he realized himself as Chikatilo's student in the art of murder. He was sentenced to life imprisonment. In prison Muhankin writes poems in which he claims himself being a thinker and a poet. The notes with such poems serial killer presented to Jandiev - famous detective, who was working with his case.
