Solas nua ('new light' in Irish) is a Washington DC based Irish contemporary arts organization, founded in 2005. They are based at the Flashpoint gallery in Washington.[1] It is possibly the only theater group in the United States that solely produces contemporary Irish drama. They only perform plays that were written within the last fifteen years.[2] Many of the performances attempt to combat commonly held stereotypes about Ireland.[1]

It was founded by Linda Murray, a former curator at the Library of Congress.[1]
