Afife is a parish located on the Portuguese municipality of Viana do Castelo. On the 2001 census, Afife had a total population of 1,677. The total area is 11.08 km² which gives a population density of 151.26 inhabitants/km².

Afife lies on the northern border of the municipality of Viana do Castelo. It is situated on the northern coast of Portugal. It confronts the North, in part, with the parish of Vila Praia de Âncora (municipality of Caminha), and Freixieiro Soutelo in the municipality of Viana do Castelo, in the South, with the parish of Carreço and a small area of the parish of Areosa; at east to the parish of Outeiro, and west by the Atlantic Ocean.

Situated beteween the ocean and Santa Luzia mountain, Afife has a wonderful scenery of landscapes The beach has a fine white sand and stretches the entire length of the sea coast (about 4 miles) The Cabanas River, which crosses the village into the Atlantic has it’s source at the top of the Santa Luzia Mountain. On its banks is located on the Convent of Cabanas, founded in the 10th century, is the most important Monument of the parish.
