He has played for Falkirk, Dumbarton, Montrose and East Stirlingshire. In his time at the "Shire" he became a fan favourite and enjoyed the 2009-2010 campaign with some splendid goals to take East Stirlingshire into the play offs.

Ayr United career

On the 11th July 2010, Rodgers moved to Ayrshire club, Ayr United. Where he has so far made 14 appearances with 5 goals, the most notable was the fifth goal against Junior side Sunnybank, when he scored a stunning over-head kick.
