User:Bcrowell2
I'm the same person as User:Bcrowell. I have intentionally disabled the User:Bcrowell because I feel that WP is headed in the wrong direction; my reasons for doing that are explained more fully on the User:Bcrowell user page. I've created this account because User:Eternal Equinox has been deleting the comments I've made at Wikipedia:Featured_article_candidates/We_Belong_Together as an anon.--Bcrowell2 02:18, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Since Eternal Equinox has been trying to pretend that there's some uncertainty about whether I'm really me, I'm going to post the last three characters of my old password on the Bcrowell account: a27. (This was the last password I used before I intentionally changed it to a random string.) Anyone sufficiently motivated, who had access to the old backups of the WP database, could verify that this is correct. Another, perhaps more practical, method of verifying my identity is the following chain: Russell Crowell was my grandfather (a well known US labor leader), and the edit history of the article about him shows that I wrote it, using the Bcrowell account, soon after his death. I helped put together a family memorial web page for him at http://www.lightandmatter.com/memorial/, of which the WP article is basically a shortened and (hopefully) NPOV-ified version. The lightandmatter.com site gives my contact info: http://www.lightandmatter.com/area4author.html, and I can respond to e-mail sent to the address given there. Of course, Eternal Equinox's pretense of being unsure of my identity is transparently dishonest, since, e.g., if he really thought someone was impersonating me, the reasonable thing to do would have been to post on my user page.--Bcrowell2 03:12, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
