Origami Bonsai' is an art form that combines traditional origami with real tree branches to make botanical sculptures. This art form was introduced in 2010 by Benjamin John Coleman in his book Origami Bonsai (Tuttle Publishing, April 2010). Subsequent publications have improved the technique. Rather than using real tree branches, sculptures can be made by rolling newspaper using a technique called "Makigami" which was also developed by Coleman.
