Transparent heating film
The transparent heating film, also called transparent heating plastic or heating transparent polymer film is a thin and flexible polymer film with a conductive optical coating[1]. Transparent conductive polymer films may be used for heating or in combination with SMD electronic SMD for multipurpose applications[2],[3].

Using ITO as transparent conductive material sheet resistances of 25 - 10'000 Ohm/square may be achieved. This transparent conducive material is vacuum sputtered on the base material, for example on highly transparent Polyester. Due to its low glass transition temperature it will lose its flatness at temperatures exceeding 90 °C. Basematerials for higher temperatures are usually based on conductive printed thermally stable materials, like PEN or Polyimide.
Transparent heating films may be laminated between glass like transparent LED films[4]. But the lamination between other materials like PVC, metals, polymers, stones, or wood are also possible.
