File:Stanton.jpg Greg Stanton is the Democratic Mayor-elect of Phoenix, Arizona. He won the November 8, 2011 runoff election to succeed the term-limited Mayor Phil Gordon by more than 10 percentage points. Stanton, a former Phoenix City Council member representing areas of north Phoenix, defeated Republican political consultant/lobbyist Wes Gullett after a contentious campaign that was capped by a record-breaking election turnout.[1]
