The Road to Serfdom, written by Friedrich A. Hayek and published in 1944. He discusses individualism and collectivism, economic control and totalitarianism, and the socialist roots of Naziism. It examines the relationship between individual liberty and government authority, and argues that granting government control of the economy leads to disaster.
