Oregon gubernatorial election of 1942, took place on November 3, 1942. Oregon secertary of state and republican candidate Earl W. Snell, whom successfully defeated incumbent governor Charles A. Sprague in the republican primaries, defeated democrat Lew Wallace, 220,188 (77.87%)to 62,561 (22.13%), the largest margin for any gubernatorial candidate in Oregon history.
