Alekos Rantos (born on 29th October 1966) is a retired Greek footballer who had played in most of his career in Olympiacos. Now he is the goalkeeping coach of the team.
Alekos born in Lofos , a community in Larissa in Greece which is part of the municipality of Elassona.
Georgakis Olybios Lofou
He started his career from the local team Georgakis Olybios Lofou.He showed good skills for his age in the early 1980s and soon advanced to the men's team.But he didn't take any chances.He remained at the team until 1984.
Pierikos At the end of 1984s Rantos signed a contract with Pieriakos.There he was able to show his good goalkeeping skills getting at the end of 1987 54 appearances.
Olympiacos F.C.
End of 1987.Alekos Rantos signed a contract with one of the biggest Greek teams ever.Olympiacos.There he spend most of his career counting only 71 appearances , remaining for 10 years in this team.He terminated his contract on 1997.
Panelefsiniakos Rantos , after his career in the Peiraeus team , he signed a one-year-contract with Panelefsiniakos F.C..He counted only 27 appearances.
Pas Giannina
After terminating his contract with the Eleusinian team , Rantos continued his career in Pas Giannina F.C. for one year.He counted 46 apperances.
Apollon Kalamarias
In the end of 2001 , the 35-year-old Rantos-wanted to stop his career- he signed a one-year-contract with Apollon Kalamarias.After that , he stopped his glorious career counting 31 appearances.
Goalkeeping coach career
Rantos wanted also to become a goalkeeping coach when he ended his career.So when he got his goalkeeping diploma he signed a contract with [Apollon Kalamarias F.C.]] where he remained for one year.He signed his contract at 2005 and left at the end of 2006.
In the early 2006 , Alekos Rantos signed a contract with Olympiacos as a goalkeeping coach where he still remaines in the club.
