Blue October
Blue October is a Texas indie rock band originally from Houston. The group has developed a rather large following in the Southwest.
History
Blue October was dropped by Universal Records after the release of Consent to Treatment in 2000 and was re-signed by the same label in 2003. Ironically, the band's third album History for Sale — which was re-released on Universal — is largely a response to the control the label placed on the group during the Consent to Treatment production process.
The History for Sale single "Calling You", featured on the American Wedding movie soundtrack, was the group's largest mainstream success until their 2006 single "Hate Me", which is currently at #5 on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart.
The band's latest album, entitled Foiled, was released on April 4, 2006. The band has scheduled to appear on The Tonight Show on April 14, 2006 in support of the album.
