The Connected Baby is a feature film by Jonathan Robertson and Dr Suzanne Zeedyk, funded initially by the British Psychological Society.[1] It demonstrates babies' innate emotional connectedness to other people.[2] The film was premiered at the Dundee Contemporary Arts centre on 25 July 2011[3] and has been featured as part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival in October 2011.[4] In November 2011 it premiered in New York at the newly created Museum of Motherhood and in December it is due to premiere in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

After the introduction, the film is divided into five "dances", such as the "dance of the nappy" or the "dance of the mirror".[5] Each of these analyses a specific interaction between the baby and another person, in an attempt to demonstrate the baby's communication strategies.
