Karla Bonoff is an American singer/songwriter. Several of her songs have been recorded by other artists, especially Linda Ronstadt (e.g. Someone to Lay Down Beside Me).

She sang background vocals for Linda Ronstadt and Wendy Waldman before releasing her first album in the late 70's, titled "Karla Bonoff". Her other albums include Restless Nights, Wild Heart of the Young, New World, and All My Life (a best of collection). She is also a member of the group Bryndle, which includes Wendy Waldman, Kenny Edwards, and originally included Andrew Gold, which has released three albums.

Albums:

Karla Bonoff - released late 70s. Just when Carole King was on the wane, up popped Karla. Never a particularly strong lyricist, Karla had the chops when it came to melodies. "Someone to Lay Down Beside Me", "Lose Again", etc. A classy debut. A great album.

Karla continues performing, writing, and releasing new albums today.
