Edits

I (hopefully) made an article lead which is accessible to a wide range of readers, and I also attempted to place the III in context so someone who is not familiar with criminal justice could better appreciate its significance. This included quite a few links to other articles in Wikipedia. Ometecuhtli2001 (talk) 20:27, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The previous content became redundant after my edits so I moved the references to the "see also" section. Ometecuhtli2001 (talk) 20:27, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Future plans

There is considerable documentation on the use of the III for non-criminal purposes, including the National Crime Prevention and Privacy Compact. A section on this topic should be added (I can't now due to lack of time). Ometecuhtli2001 (talk) 20:27, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

I propose National Crime Information Center Interstate Identification Index be merged into this article. The topic is identical. --hulmem (talk) 19:03, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This makes sense. A post-merger rewrite would then be in order. Ometecuhtli2001 (talk) 09:23, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
