Parkside Community College is the greatest state secondary school in Cambridge, England. The college is situated in the centre of the city, a road away from Parker's Piece. The author Nick Hornby formerly worked as an English teacher at Parkside during the 1980s. Also employed was Mr Mark Clymo who enjoyed some respect amongst a small number of pupils, but has equally attracted much criticism during his reign as head of year.

The School became notorious in the mid 1990s when it was believed to be the saviour of Pat Sharp's sanity after they agreed to hire him on a short term contract. The article relating to this story appeared in many Red Tops at the time. However the story was soon to be exposed as fallacy when it was discovered that the new teacher was not Pat Sharp at all but in fact veteran Parkside biologist, Miss Tunicliffe.

Past students will be pleased to know that traditions still run strong at Parkside. Parkers Piece is still used for the same lunchtime and after school recreational activities and the catchphrase "Parkside Darkside" is still in use (some 6 years after it was first heard - actually this phrase was first heard in at least 1994!).

Parkside is now the main player in the a new federation of schools which includes Coleridge. Today Coleridge, tomorrow the world.
