Gareth Anscombe is a New Zealand Rugby Union pleayer. He plays for Auckland in the ITM cup and the blues (rugby) in Suuper rugby.

Gareth was the star in Ponsonby’s 2010 Gallaher Shield campaign, in his first year out of Rosmini College.

He was selected for Auckland following the club season and forced his way into the starting line up before the season was out.

Gareth was the top point’s scorer in the 2011 Junior Rugby World Cup and was man of the match in the final which was won by New Zealand. He was a member of the Blues wider training squad in 2011 and will hope a strong provincial season will help him secure the Blues Number 10 jersey in 2012.

He made an impresive start to super rugby scoring all 29 points for the blues in their win against the bulls--Tevamoorphe (talk) 20:29, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
