Wishram is a census-designated place located in Klickitat County, Washington. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 213.
Geography
Wishram is located at 45°39'40" North, 120°57'32" West (45.661198, -120.958788)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.3 km² (1.3 mi²). 3.3 km² (1.3 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there were 213 people, 122 households, and 89 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 98.5/km² (254.2/mi²). There were 122 housing units at an average density of 59.0/km² (152.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 75.10% White, 12.30% African American, 9.26% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 3.09% from other races, and 2.78% from two or more races. 3.09% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 122 households out of which 21.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 40.1% were married couples living together, 13.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 41.4% were non-families. 36.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.13 and the average family size was 2.74.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 25.0% under the age of 18, 5.2% from 18 to 24, 25.0% from 25 to 44, 25.3% from 45 to 64, and 19.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 110.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 99.2 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP was $26,667, and the median income for a family was $23,750. Males had a median income of $31,042 versus $23,229 for females.
