Critical Reception

The Ghosts of Watt O'Hugh was named one of the best of 2011[1] by Kirkus Reviews, which called it "fast-paced, energetic and fun; a dime-novel for modern intellectuals,", and The Boston Phoenix called it "a rip-snorting, mind-boggling novel," adding, "there's a lot going on in this teeming tome!"[2] The 1000 Bars website, on the other hand, called the novel "convoluted".[3]
