Granduc Mine was a large copper mine which sat on a rock ridge between a glacier and a cliff, some 22 miles from Stewart, BC. It operated from 1964 to 1983. The road had a tunnel to access the mine. The mine overlooks the Salmon Glacier.

A large avalanche killed around 25 men in 1968 when the snow slide hit the mine camp.
