Sinotrans Limited (commonly referred to as Sinotrans)(SEHK598) is one of the largest logistics companies in China. It is based in Beijing, People's Republic of China. Sinotrans Limited was incorporated in 2002 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2003 with Sinotrans Group as its controlling shareholder. The Group injected into Sinotrans Ltd. its core businesses, superior assets and professional staff in China's fast-growing coastal and other strategic regions, namely Hong Kong, Guangdong, Fujian, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hubei, Lianyungang, Chongqing, Jiangxi, Anhui, Shandong, Tianjin and Liaoning.

Sinotrans Limited provides integrated logistics service including sea, air and road transportation, storage and terminal services, express services, shipping agency and freight forwarding business, mainly operated by its subsidiary companies.

Up to end 2009, Sinotrans Limited had a staff of 20,937 employees, a total asset of 21.9 billion RMB, and a net asset of 9.4 billion RMB.

Sinotrans delivers steady financial performance year over year. In 2011 revenue added 2.8% from the previous year and amounted to 43.7 billion RMB, and net income was 642.5 million RMB which is a 4.2% increase year over year. Generally 2011 brought slowdown, pressing logistics business, and the tense is expected to continue in 2012.
